Who am I?

Federica Arevalo writer director behind the scenes

Federica Arévalo is a Venezuelan filmmaker currently based in NYC/Miami, with a previous four-year stint in London. She holds a Diploma in Filmmaking and a Writer Director Diploma from the London Film Academy, both of which she obtained through scholarships. Additionally, she possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Universidad Monteávila.
 
Throughout her successful 10 year career, Federica has worked as a Script Supervisor on prominent productions, including "Green Book" (Academy Award for Best Film), A24's "Problemista" featuring Julio Torres and Tilda Swinton, as well as "Jack Ryan," "Love Life," "Modern Love," "Vampires Vs. The Bronx," and more.
 
She served as Director of Photography for the short film "Interference."  Among the accolades of 20+ awards, she won  the esteemed Best Cinematographer award at the Encounters Film Festival in the UK and the Best Student Film award at the London Short Film Festival. '"Tia Juana Light," achieved recognition and was selected for various film festivals, including the Cartagena Film Festival, Cine en los Barrios, Ladyfilmmakers Film Festival, and NYC Film Festivals.
 
Federica has also directed award-winning music videos for artists such as Nella (Latin Grammy Best New Artist) and Corina Smith, having herself been nominted for Pepsi Music Awards Venezuela for her work on both.
 
Currently, Federica is engaged in the development of her own film projects while simultaneously managing the brand "Verde is Better." Through this venture, she educates a Hispanic audience on sustainability and eco-consciousness, incorporating her passion for plant-based cooking.
